The Role

Imagination is a leader in the supply of integrated S/W and H/W embedded solutions for deployment in consumer devices such as such as Mobile Phones, PDAs, Set Top Boxes and Navigation aids. This role is an opportunity to work on development of future generations of advanced embedded processor cores for a wide range of applications. You will become part of a dynamic and motivated development team where you will work on the full design cycle from specification and initial implementation through to testing and verification of the H/W which has a key role in delivery of a successful end product.

Primary responsibilities will include

• Design, develop, verify and maintain simulators for range of projects
• Design, develop, verify and maintain application and low level test suites
• Research new architectures, features and solutions
• Provide C simulation test environments for customers
• Work with the other teams to make the whole product successful
• Working with latest techniques and cutting-edge technology

Required Skills

• Proven C/C++/SystemC Programming Ability
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent logical analysis and problem solving skills
• 'Can do attitude’, self starter and hard working
• 3 to 5 years experience of software development related to processor support, instruction set verification, tools or simulators

Desirable Skills

• Ability to organise technical projects and support/develop junior team members
• Knowledge of DSP and FPU architectures
• Experience of MAKE and other automated build systems
• Familiarity with Python and UNIX shell scripting

Working Environment

• Small design teams with both graduate and experienced team members

Qualifications
A good Degree (1st or 2.1) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related subject.
